Cars.com Puts 2017 Toyota Highlander Through its Paces

If Toyota's goal with the 2017 Highlander was to build one of the most impressive full-size SUVs we've ever seen, we here at Clearwater Toyota are happy to report:

Mission accomplished. The Japanese automaker knocked this one clean out of the park.

Pair up with Cars.com pundit Mark Williams to learn a bit more about it:

If, for whatever reason, you find that the Highlander's entry-level engine fails to cut the mustard, it's likely in the direction of the available 3.5-liter V6 upgrade we'd point you.

Offered as an option on the base LE trim and served up standard on all others, the V6 turns out a terrific 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. Gear shifts are sorted by an eight-speed automatic transmission.

We'd also note that, unlike the base engine (which can only be had in front-drive form), the V6 can be optioned with all-wheel drive.

If you'd like to learn more about this charismatic crossover, or wish to get behind the wheel of one, we encourage you to drop by our Clearwater, FL dealership. Our automotive aficionados are ready to answer your every question about the Highlander, or any other Toyota model within the present portfolio.
